Today is election day across the United States. Although 2011 is an off year, there are still a few state and local issues for many of you to vote on. But the campaign for 2012 has already begun, so strap in for another bumpy ride. Despite being made nearly four decades ago, Robert Redford’s “The Candidate” is still the definitive portrait of the cynicism and conniving behind major political campaigns.
