Movie-A-Day #49: Pulp Fiction (1994).

February 18, 2011

Happy birthday, John Travolta! He’s such a firmly entrenched movie star now that it’s easy to forget that once upon a time he was just a washed up former teen idol desperately in need of a comeback. Well, Quentin Tarantino was the one to give him that comeback with “Pulp Fiction,” and even included a dance scene to rev up the nostalgia. It’s too bad that most of Travolta’s films since then haven’t been nearly as good as this one. But at least we’ll always have the Jack Rabbit Slim’s twist contest.
